Jehovah Jireh

You are a provider (Genesis 22:14)

Your best years are ahead of you! (Jeremiah 29:11)

Don’t get discouraged! (1st Peter 5:7)

Believe on him that has the power to do all things! (Philippians 4:13)

He will revitalize you! (Acts 1:8)

He’s able (Romans 8:31)

He’s all sufficient (2nd Corinthians 12:9)

He’s a way maker (Deuteronomy 31:8)

These are the affirmations that I get when reading about the Prophet Elijah and the widow women that he bid to make bread for him. God instructed the Prophet Elijah to go to a widow in Zarephath during a season of drought. Ironically, this place also known as the “smelting place”. It’s a place where metals were melted to create idols for worship. This woman, I can imagine, is in a place of hopelessness and despair. She’s in a place of brokenness and struggle. Her foundation has been shaken and she doesn’t believe that she has what it takes to continue in life’s journey. It has become easier for her to accept a sentence of death for her and her inheritance (son) than to hope! However, God has a different plan! He plans to reveal himself to this woman through the voice of a prophet the same way that he can show up and reveal himself to us as Jehovah Jireh our

provider.

It is through her obedience that God shows himself as provider and a way maker. In a season of drought and despair, God provides her needs and gives her hope for another day! This is the same thing that He desires for us. Christ died that we may have life and have it more abundantly! He desires to reveal himself daily in our life living! He wants to be provider, encourager, hope, a revitalizer, able, sufficient and a way maker for us! Remember that He is not slack concerning his promises!

Let’s Pray;

Father,

It is with a heart of gratitude that we accept you for who you are! You are forever Jehovah Jireh! You provided then and so Lord I know that you will do the same now! Thank you, Lord, for revitalizing the places in life where we have inherently accepted a defeat! Thank you for providing hope through your promises and your actions! We believe that you will do what you have promised, and we believe on you!

In Jesus’ Name~

Victoriously Worshipping!
